Why You Need To Get Your Thoughts And Goals On Paper

| |

The success of every venture be it a relationship, journey, or other lifetime goals begins with some planning. We may have the freedom and ability to think about whatever we want and act on it as long as it’s ethical. And some of these thoughts if not kept on paper and worked on, one day we may be those disgruntled folks who will say “I had such an idea before” or “you stole my idea”. Doing so requires nothing more than just looking at the journey you have covered so far, where you are now, where you want to be tomorrow. It’s okay to take lessons from the past but remember we live in the present with the hope that we will have a fruitful and rewarding tomorrow.

Though tomorrow is filled with uncertainty if you are armed with your goals and objectives as your compass to your dream place, nature will only have to pave the way for you. Finding our life meaning and pursuing our individual goals is a task best left to you, it doesn’t mean that you have to be all serious and busy forgetting about the priceless things you already have. Life and the people around you are important and mean the world to you. And it does not have to hurt or drill a hole in your pocket to express your appreciation. You can enjoy and spend special holidays, birthdays, and occasions like the new year with them, and still get on your business.

With unexpected twists and turns in life and a myriad of things on our minds, we may completely forget some special days and events. In this post, we share the reasons why you need to get your thoughts and goals on paper. Read on.

It helps you document everything of special meaning

Long gone are those days when mankind had to exhibit their brainpower with cramming.  Now, we just need to be on top of things and ahead of the curve. With a lot of meetings and special dates to reserve on the calendar, we may find ourselves in shock at 2:00 pm in our pajamas when we had to be in a meeting.

To avoid information overload, we can keep tabs on our mobile devices and mark special days on our personal calendars. Such dates can be a wedding, birthday, or time with family. If you can not make it to the appointment you can order gifts and cake home delivery in Bangalore among other cities in India. Though you may not be physically there, your presence will be felt.

By documenting things down you will ensure that, out of the busy schedules and happy parties, you still get reminders on what needs to be done. In fact, even if you leave your diary behind – an alarm will be made at the back of your mind. When you write something down, it’s also being recorded in your mind.

Writing your thoughts down helps clear your mind

There are some events and issues we may not feel comfortable with or find time to sit down and share with others. As you write down your thoughts, you will be relieving yourself of the stress. You can now close the book and do some other tasks, you will feel relieved. And when you come back to things that you have written down at a later moment, it will be like having a perspective of your issues from a different view.

It helps clarify your goals, priorities, and intentions

We may take life lightly and fail to realize that everything we have accomplished is a result of the decisions we have made. And decisions can also be translated to goals. You wouldn’t want to partially commit to your goals and decisions if you really want to make it in life, would you? So make sure that your decision is final and your goals are crystal clear. You can pen them down just in case some temptations and doubts may cloud your path.
