Salah-ul-Fitr or prayer of forgiveness is really a divine prayer with many beneficial qualities and advantages for Muslims. Namaz-E Semin-e-Kohani is only one of the several optional prayers, which are compulsory to perform before entering Islam. It is compulsory for all believers to offer Salat-ul-Fitr on Friday as part of their worship ritual. Salat-ul-Fitr is also an opportunity to remind us that we have been blessed by our creator with this opportunity of going to paradise. Hence we have to make the best use of this blessed time to perform Salat ul-Fitr.
There are many ways in which Salat-ul-Fitr can be offered in Islam. You can make your own collection of Salat-ul-Fitris or buy pre-made Muslim prayer beads. Many people also prefer to purchase pre-made prayer beads, rather than make their own collection. There are hundreds of beautiful and creative prayer beads available in the market these days. Some of them are also designed with tasbih meaning “Peace and calm.”
The best way to prepare for Salat-ul-Fitr is by reciting the Holy Quran (Qur’an) three times daily in a quiet atmosphere without any external distractions. If you live in an area where there is no caller to announce the dawn, noon, and sunset, then you can complete your prayers at midnight. You should not miss your Fasts (tents). Tents are used to keep away the evil spirits and to ask for Allah’s guidance and protection for the day.
After reciting the Quran, you should send an Eid Prayer to the family, friends, and relatives who have been kind enough to visit you during this time of the year. At the end of the prayer, you should go to the toilet and wash your hands. You should then say your Salat-ul-Fitr prayer, which should last for about one minute. Then you should praise God. Then you should repeat the Salat-ul-Fitr prayer as many times as necessary until you feel satisfied that you have completed your prayers.
When you finish your Salat-ul-Fitr, you should buy yourself a piece of gold or silver or some other precious material and present it to your imam or daruhar as a gift. This is one way of thanking him for having guided you in your religious path. It is also recommended that you buy a piece of cloth or a bag of rice so that you can feed your entire family with the proceeds from this donation. However, these gifts are not important if you cannot afford to send a monetary donation to your loved ones; the important thing is to send a prayer and a tribute to your beloved imam or daruhar.
One tradition regarding Eid tasbih is to wear black clothes and to refrain from wearing red clothes on that day. Also, women who cannot afford to buy gold or silver may tie a ribbon on their heads and draw a veil over their heads to make themselves less visible to men. She should keep her hands covered with her scarf or turban. If she feels like dancing, she can perform the necessary rituals like reciting the Quran or reciting the mafia, the Islamic call for prayer.
After you have finished your Salat-ul-Fitr, you should go to a place where you can have a look at the sky so that you can contemplate the path of justice and goodness. If you wish, you can also take some photographs of the scenery in front of you and the rivers and mountains nearby. This is an auspicious day when you should go for a drive to see your close friends and relatives in the Tanta Bajwa area. You should also visit the tombs of the Imams and have a chat with them. They would be glad to see you can fulfill your duty of charity by offering prayer and charity to their bodies.
You should remember that tasbih beads do not start immediately after sunset. You should go outside your house and perform the necessary prayers and fast before you go back inside. It is important that you do it regularly so that you can offer prayers for your loved ones in the right way. You should follow the guidance of a reliable lamp or sharafii, who will give you the best advice on matters regarding prayer and conduct in order to perform the 300 glorifications of al-taqwa.
