Is there appropriate signage to direct participants to the correct location, and how bad is the traffic around the venue? Is there a lack of nightlife or family-friendly entertainment choices in your area? Will participants need high-end restaurants to entertain guests, or will they choose more casual dining options? Do you have a lot of single guests, or do you have a lot of people that are travelling with their families? What types of amenities will be most significant to your tourists when it comes to lodging?
Long travel durations, interminable traffic jams, a lack of acceptable lodgings to match their needs, and insufficient entertainment or dining alternatives might all deter potential attendees from signing up for your event.
What is the current state of the decor? Is it anything that can be readily changed? Are you getting ready for an expo or a gala? The less decoration you have to do for each function, the more universal your decor is. Do you have access to a stage, podium, or at least a location to set up a leased stage if you have a speaker?
